ABOUT NIK

Renowned for his sharp wit, rapid-fire delivery, and multilingual social commentary, Nik Rabinowitz is a South African stand-up comedian, actor, presenter, podcast host, corporate MC and charity auctioneer.

A Business Science graduate from the University of Cape Town, Rabinowitz pivoted to stand-up in the early 2000s. Twenty-five later he’s considered one of the country's most most established acts.

A unique perspective, multilingual abilities (English, Afrikaans, and isiXhosa) and an ability to blend observational humor with cultural insider knowledge allows him to bridge cultural divides and connect with diverse audiences. This, coupled with his ability to be both provocative and warmly inclusive has earned him critical acclaim and a devoted following.

Nik has performed internationally across five continents and produced sixteen stand-up specials and three kids (with his wife Deborah). His latest one-man show MOUNTAIN JEW is billed as “the hilarious, at times poignant stable-to-stand-up origin story of half nature-child, half nice Jewish boy, half failed mathematician - Nik Rabinowitz”.
